Taste: True to form, the 2001 Barbaresco is lush and voluptuous, with a smooth, rich texture and a lovely, clear, bright garnet-red color. The wine is powerful and firmly tannic, yet silky, loaded with dried cherry, raspberry, plum, kirsch, vanilla and chocolate flavors that persist on the long rich, elegant finish.
Production: 175 cases made.
