Notes: The Palladino family grow the Barbera grapes for this superb modern-style Barbera d’Alba on a small 2 hectare parcel of land they call 'Bricco della olive' or 'Little olive tree hill'. This great Italian wine is left to mature in special oak barrels for 15 months to bring out its subtle, refined quality and robust flavor.
Taste: Wonderfully smooth and slightly tannic, the wine develops a full, well-balanced flavor with age. Smooth and lingering on the palate, this wine has excellent ability to age but can also be enjoyed right now. Deep garnet red in color, the wine is fruity both on the nose and the palate with woody overtones, outstanding richness and fine balance. Juicy and rich, flooded with ripe, lush ruby, red fruits that drip from the tongue... Precise balance of perfect acidity and exquisite tannins.
